According to the Statistics experts at "Statista," Twitter has a total of 329-million users. If it grew by 20% that would be over 60-million new users. Your numbers don't match. The Devil, as they say, is in the details.

I don't really want to do your research for you, but Twitter was poised to gain 6-million new users based on historical date. If the 15-million number is correct, they exceeded projected growth by 150%. Some of them may be returning, formerly banned, users. But 9-million unanticipated users are impressive, if it is a fact, not hype.
