Good question. If I had to sum it up in a word, 2022 has been the Countryphobia era. That is, in an era of declining interest and a decline in dedication to writing laws and keeping Congress active and even campaigning in a traditional sense around election time, the roleplay has devolved into taking cheap shots at various countries - and gawking at other random news items.
