Yep, many times. Personally, I think it's easier to start them indoors and transplant the seedlings later, you know, after all danger of frost has passed. It takes about 2 months from germination to harvest, give or take a few days. The only pest I've seen is the Colorado Potato Beetle. They're a pretty easy beginner crop to grow.
