I live in Texas. That crazy uncle is everyone at the table except my wife and I. We just hold our breath, wait for it to be over, and laugh about it later together.

hey, i like inviting my mega/conspiracy relatives to our Thanksgiving for the sole reason to listen to their rants about the government and the aliens controlling congress and the senate and mostly the countries they don't like, it's like listening to someone repeating ancient aliens word for word.

If you're unable to leave politics at the door I'm positive many make the same decision

apart from their maga-craziness, i like that branch of my family. we won't discuss politics and we'll have a fine time. they aren't bad people, and i'm sure many of the likewise-hypnotized are not. i just wish i knew how to wake them up.
