Because the first thing that hapens when the springlocks go off is that it crushes every bone in your body. You will go into constant shock from the amount of pain you are feeling, and it even squishes your organs a bit. By the time the metal barbs even peirce your brain you'd already be dead. In the silver eyes, Dave actually explained how you will die. It’s something like this: first, the lock themselves will cut you severely. Then, a split second later, all the animatronic parts will start slowly puncturing you, you will try to scream but you can’t. Your vocal cords will have snapped and you will be drowning in your own blood. You will know you are dying for a very long time.

Fredbear's jaw was the first sign of this. The fact it could Crush CC's skull means it has so many W.A.T.S to even crush all of the other bones. Metal is useful but also very fatal.

Fredbear wasn't in suit mode at the time of the accident, meaning the Springlocks WEREN'T AS active during the entire incedint, but this goes to show how deadly the Springlock suits actually are.

FNAF 1 however with The Bite of 87, that's a different story that I'm not going over.
