please someone explain seriously, why in the "remastered" RotJ ending, Anakin appears as his younger self rather than the age when he died? Obi Wan and Yoda died and appeared as their old age self.

According to George Lucas is because he metaphorically died after becoming Vader in revenge of the sith.

I've heard that explanation on SW forums, but I always felt that if that really was Lucas' intent, then it takes away from the redemptive story of Anakin at the end when he turns back to the light side, since the main character throughout Ep. 1 - 6 is Anakin.
