My first ever game was Pokemon yellow so I haven't even seen the new XP share ever I've never been able to play a 3D game but I can tell you the black and white and also fire Red and emerald are super worth it I love those games
Basically you just turn on the exp share and then all Pokémon on your team gets xp. Any Pokémon that participated in the battle get more xp, even if they were just switched in and then switched out
HERE'S WHY:
-I'M PROBABLY GETTING A SWITCH LITE AND THE NEWER POKÉMON GAMES
-SINCE MY FIRST GAMES WAS X I HATE THE OLD EXP SHARE
-MY FRIENDS(WHO HAVE PLAYED/SEEN THE OLD GAMES) HAVE TOLD ME IT'S NOT WORTH IT; I'VE DECIDED NOT TO PLAY ANY OF THE OTHER OLD POKÉMON GAMES. I MIGHT GET BLACK AND BLACK2 BECAUSE THE STORYLINE IS AMAZING
