As opposed to having armed students, you mean? Not that I think teachers should be armed with guns either, the protection of school staff and students should be a job for campus security not the teachers.
The Republicans don't allow
guns at their conventions, but they want armed school resource officers. You also can't bring a gun to an NRA meeting, but they want to arm teachers.
