I'll be 74-years old a few days before the election. I can't remember a party more poised to make the country fail, so that they could garner political power. Their leaders are already on record saying they will allow us to go into bankruptcy if they gain control of Congress.
Where did the debt come from? We owed less than $1 trillion when Reagan took office. He cut taxes and started the "Republican Borrow and Spend," program. More tax cuts for the rich under future Republicans added to the debt. Now that the total owed is $21 trillion, they plan on shutting down the government, rather than servicing their debt. They didn't do so on Trump's watch. They gave more tax cuts to the rich making the debt even worse.
