"Calling another person's religion a cult I think qualifies as religious bigotry"
No I didn't call BritishMormon's religion a cult, pay attention to what I'm saying or you are a liberal.
What I actually said is that "PEOPLE believe that Mormonism is a "cult"". I believe that mormonism is a different religion.
The difference between a cult and a new religion is that...
A religion belongs to the wider culture; its adherents come and go freely. A cult tends to be counter-cultural, restricting the social life of its adherents to other cult members. The key characteristic of a cult is the axis mundi, the shamanic leader at the center of the organization.

Christianity is the sequel of Judaism, I believe that Mormonism is a sequel of Christianity but only had 8 witnesses including Joseph Smith, however Christianity had over 140,000 witnesses (about 144,000 to be more precise).
Joseph Smith one of 8 witnesses of LDS was the sole founder of Mormonism and established it in 1830 AD.
Verdict: IF Mormonism was a cult but still the same religion of Christianity, then it would have been established around the same time, would have had thousands more witnesses, and there would have been a bible similar to the Catholic Bible but with the Book of Mormon combined with the Bible. It would have been plagiarism otherwise if Smith combined the Bible with the Book of Mormon so it is a different religion because the catholics managed to have their own bible with extra books in it.
