1. Not sure what relevance the Borderline pr0n bill has to this, but alright. We absolutely should remove pr0n-related stuff from this stream. There isn’ much here thanks to common sense moderation at the approval queue, but it would be great to have a policy on why this is necessary. Otherwise, such restrictions could be easily overturned, allowing for s*xual content not expressly prohibited by Imgflip ToS. However, I agree that the bill is way too vague. It isn’t at all a ban on LGBT stuff (at least not without context from other posts that should be in the bill), but it should at least define borderline pr0n so we know what is and isn’t banned. I would define is as any overtly sexual content, any and all nudity, and swinsuit photos. Non-sexual romance (i.e. G-rated Disney kissing) is explicitly exempted.
2. This stream doesn’t really simulate an economy at all, but CTL’s policies would be detrimental to the free market. For example, reopening the Imgflip Bank (which technically has not been formally abolished, but merely closed indefinitely) would introduce further centralized government control over the money supply, and allow fiat currency unbacked by any commodities (i.e. gold, silver, and other precious metals), thus steadily devaluating the currency through inflation.
3. I actually disagree with the whole theodemocracy thing, being a non Mormon. Having invented the slogan myself, I will explain its meaning:
Family - Traditional family values are central to conservative societal policy, and define Western culture and heritage.
Faith - Interpreted from BritishMormon’s point of view, this likely would mean the influence of Mormonism on the CTR party, but interpreted more broadly it could be taken to represent Christian ethics in general. Christian morality was a critical influence on the Western world’s development and helped shape Western perceptions of virtue and character.
Fatherland - Patriotism and sincere love for one’s nation are foundational conservative values, and civic nationalism should be promoted by CTR, especially during this time of disunity in the stream.
Thanks for taking time to read this post.
