There is also public and private prayer. Which as the name implies are prayers you might say with another person or group or by yourself. There's also other types of prayer like intercessory prayer, prayer of thanksgiving etc. I'm happy to go more in depth if you like.

1 Samuel 1 is pretty clear that prayer doesn't have to be audible.

Jesus prayed aloud in the garden before His death and also on the cross.

Thus we can deduce that prayer can be audible or inaudible without affecting its legitimacy.
