I couldn't agree more. Democrat, liberal, and progressive politicians tell you one thing, get into office and do what their special interests who paid for their campaigns want, while making the voters suffer. Biden is a perfect example. 🙈🙉🙊

Sorry it took me so long to respond. But I had to go to sleep, I had an evening of a meeting and an election event. 😊 🦋🤘

I think on some level this happens with all politicians. Thus the debate on term limits. At least the Republicans appear to be for America and the Democrats are basically Communists and dont even try to hide it anymore. This has been going on for decades but it was never so apparent until Trump was elected. Every govt. agency and the media is corrupt. The average American is becoming dumber and more lazy every year that goes by. Power and greed has taken over our country and the people keep voting for this crap. America is extremely divided more than ever and that is exactly what our "rulers" want. But then again, what do i know. 😁🤘🦋

But if we're divided aren't we easier to control? I completely agree with the democrats being corrupt.
Let me give you an example our mayor has a ballot measure to take another 5% of the profits on the sale of your property if the value is eight million dollars or more. In other words, $440,000 from the sale of your property will go to her group for her special interest, with no accountability for the funds. Also that not including the seven million dollars or more the city can't account for for homeless services. Don't get me started.
But I agree Americans are being dumbed down, again I go back to being easier to control. Personally, I think the sexualizing of children in school, especially in elementary school which is really their only chance to be a child. They should be allowed to be a child and grow, and indoctrination should not take the place of a good education.

Our elected officials seem to forget that they work for the people. Yet they think they rule and control us. No society would survive without leaders and laws, but our leaders make decisions based on what benefits them. It's a career for them rather than serving the people. Their only goal is to stay in office. One problem is most of the time we have bad candidates and we wind up voting for the lesser of two evils. You still wind up with a turd in office. 😁 🦋🍟

I understand what you're saying. I think that my city may be ready for a change. One organization has had political control for the last forty years. But in the last election we took out three incumbents. and this election two incumbents aren't running. Although several years ago we did vote in term limits.
But that's why I was supporting my friend tonight who's running, because we really do need a council who listens to the residents and is willing to support the residents wishes. He also had a resident group and lead a referendum on a development project the city council had approved. Which we won, so he has a history of acting in the best interest of the residents, which gives him credibility too.
Although up until then we had the same problem as you. And the newest law that's being abolished here in California jeopardizing the safety of everyone is, starting January 1, 2023, you can jaywalk if you feel it's safe. I'm sure your state hasn't done anything this dumb. 😄 🦋🥓

Or you can do what I do, and show the community what's wrong with what they're being told is the way it is with issues. And a different perspective does help. Just last night there were several people who thanked me for speaking at city council meetings, even a ninth grader. I just try to help everyone see what I do, in two minutes or less of course. 😊
And did I mention I hate public speaking? 🦋🤘

Until more people like you become proactive in their communities and address important issues and call our leaders out on their bad decisions, things wont change. At least you are trying. Most people dont or dont have the time. And i cant believe i'm off today and exausted and still got up at 3 o clock this morning. 😆 🤦‍♂️

Thank you, that's very nice of you to say. But like you said many politicians are in it for their own greed and not for the best interest of the people they represent.
Oh, and did I mention another contributing factor to the three incumbents being unseated was the May 31, 2020, riot and looting, when the police department was told to stand down. Although there were many other contributing factors to that day. It's 5 am here, but I'm normally up now.

Its 7 am here and i guess im going shopping. Hopefully i get my 3 days off without being called in. 😊🎶🎸🚤🍩
