There's a difference between saying "Civ. is doomed to fail." And "We should find new ways to live our lives." I don't think civilization is the correct word to use as I said before, the definition you gave is highly nuanced. More commonly recognized, civilization is: the stage of human social and cultural development and organization that is considered most advanced. This definition leaves room for civilization to evolve to not require mass farming, environmental destruction, war, etc. Merely, it is a word to describe the proper noun for what stage of civilization in which we are living. For example, today we are living in the information age and starting to step into a new era with many names due to the speculation of what the next age would look like: Nano-Age, Age of AI, Neo-Feudalism, The Great Economic Renaissance, etc.
What your definition describes is complete destruction of life as we know it - burn all the cities, destroy existing governments, remove institutions; complete anarchy - then it leaves us there to figure out what it should be anew.
