Rodney was an average teenager, going around the neighborhood with friends and getting into trouble

However one day a house was being cleared out because the couple who lived in it was murdered, the killer still hadn't been found yet and there weren't any people related to them anyone knew of, in fact nobody even knew the couple because they always avoided everyone. Their neighbors were very paranoid of them so they were prime suspects

However this wasn't Rodney's concern

What he was worried about is how he would get the mech suit.

Yes, there was in fact a mech suit just casually placed in the yard among all of the other pieces of furniture

Although it didn't exactly look threatening, it almost looked like a children's toy if it weren't for it's large size

Rodney knew it was probably fake but it would be something cool to show his friends

So he checked out the rest of the things there, whilst keeping an eye on the mech suit

And then hauled it into his car

It took up the entire back seat of the car and then some but it fit. It's legs had to be put in the front seat but still

He drove it over to where he and his friends hung out and dropped it off

A couple days passed and he was finally gonna show it to his friends. He told one of them to bring power tools just in case

They got there and it was almost dark

However they were still amazed at what they saw

And the reason they needed power tools was because he was gonna try to put it on. So if he got stuck they could cut him out

He put on the suit

And the helmet

And then proceeded to smash stuff

However eventually it got dark and he needed to take it off. However he couldn't figure out how

No matter what he tried it wouldn't come off

His friends tried to find some kind of switch or latch on the back to open it but still nothing

They didn't know what else to do so it was time to cut it open

However they severely underestimated the strength of the armor, it was NOT plastic

It was very strong and light metal

Luckily the helmet could come off since it's a separate piece

Then the worry really started to kick in

What would his mom think?

How would he explain this to her?
Or anyone for that matter

He couldn't really text while in the mech suit so he had one of his friends tell her that he was at a sleepover and that he'd be there over the weekend

That gave them more time to get him out of this

However they technically weren't lying since he would be staying at one of their houses for the time being

Specifically Rodger, he was more tech savvy than the rest of the group

He analyzed the suit all night and found that yes, it can open. But not in it's current condition

There were several knobs that seem to connect to a latch inside, however they wouldn't turn. And they definitely could at one point be

Because they do wiggle, and Rodney felt something when he attempted to rotate them

However it would seem it's not just because it's an old suit that they won't rotate

It's likely because it wasn't meant for someone of Rodney's size

If he were smaller they could likely rotate fine

So maybe the childlike colors were for a reason

Eventually they ran out of time

He eventually gained the courage to go to his house and attempt to explain why he's in a mech suit that looks like a Fisher Price toy

His mother slammed the door shut out of fright

The colors were meant to make it LESS scary how was it that frightening? It's more weird than anything else

She eventually opened the door again and let him in. If he still had the helmet on it would've been a different story

However he learned more and more about the suit

Like how to reload it's cannon

Apparently it could launch anything that fits in it's barrel at very high speeds, even large rocks could be launched

However nobody could see him out of the suit any time soon

If you're wondering how he went to the bathroom in the suit I can easily explain
