LORE: (this is in the timeline with starved eggyhead, cannibal beldum, and bloodstone inkmatas)
mr. trollface, after witnessing beldums intent to cannibalize anything he sees, was prepared for this exact moment, he had made a bunker earlier in his 20s where it was stockpiled with corn and lemons, he called the collector to see if he would be able to be saved, but no awnser, he called eggyhead, no awnser, so he knew this would be his final stand, he got on his mech suit, and a helmet, that has been passed down through every generation of his once alive family, so getting prepared, he waited for beldum, his once best friend, turned somehow even more mad then he would expect

looks like 2 mortal enemies would have to team up in this timeline since they are the only known survivors, i of course mean that Redi and Mr Trollface would have to team up, it would be their only option since they havent gone insane like the others or eaten

They had been in the bunker for weeks, occasionally hearing an extremely faint scream

Redi had found his way to the bunker, he attempted to go to the citadel but it was in lockdown. Nobody could get in or out. (Before you ask, the citadel has four space stations floating around it that are equivalent to death start when it's in lockdown)

Redi luckily didn't need any of the supplies. He didn't even have a mouth (not sure if this is canon) but trollface was getting tired of lemons

Eventually they began to hear strange sounds in the bunker, they thought they were done for

The lights flickered, this was the end...

Or was it?

Suddenly a glowing figure appeared, it was the collector. He didn't survive but his spirit managed to escape

During hundreds of years using the crystal he was enchanted with the essence of creation, meaning he could create a somewhat physical form

However in this state he was not prepared for combat

"Hello boys." He said. In an almost sarcastic tone

"H- how are you..." Redi was quite spooked but the collector knew what he was going to ask

"I didn't survive. The crystal ended up in the stomach of what WAS eggyhead. So I can't exactly get near it to create a new body. If that were the case I wouldn't be here, however I do have a plan"

Trollface began to speak but collector knew it was going to be some kind of ghost joke

"not a word! Even redi knows what you were about to say.

My plan is simple, it only requires a frying pan and a bit of stealth."

The more collector explained the more he sounded like a madman. But they knew his intentions were still golden

"So all we have to do is assault and kidnap an inkling? That was an average Tuesday back before all of this happened."

Collector looked at trollface angrily

"Just because you attempted to kidnap her doesn't mean you did. And random pranks don't count either except for the one time you managed to explode a creeper next to her. I wouldn't use the word kidnap either, I would say squidnap"

Trollface put his hand to his forehead

"Can't believe I didn't think of that!"

(Time skip by a few days)

They were exploring what's left of inkopolis, in inkmatas' home universe

They had found the one place inkmatas still remembered.

"This is the place." Collector said quietly

They opened the door to see inkmatas in the corner mumbling nonsense to herself

In the center of the room there was a rotting corpse, it could easily be identified as switch hood. There was an open bag next to her so it would seem she was trying to escape

Trollface and collector investigated the corpse while redi walked closer and closer to inkmatas.

BONG!!!!

She fell to the ground.

"that's step one. Bring switch hood two, I might be able to bring her back with some of my equipment."

Trollface looked at the Collector confused.

"Equipment?"

It took the collector a moment to realize why he was confused.

"... OH! Did you think I left everything on my old body? Of course not! However I do need your help to get to it. I need both of you to stand in front of me, this requires more life force than what I currently have."

Redi and trollface both stood still in front of the collector, both holding corpses

Collector did a strange gesture and the room was filled with light

In a bright flash they were sent to a strange realm, seemingly endless and covered in a shimmering liquid

On command two buildings emerged from the liquid an alien looking laboratory and an infirmary

"Put the corpses in there while I bring myself back."

Collector entered the alien building, trollface put inkmatas on the table and redi simply leaned switch hood against a wall

Surprisingly trollface didn't even think about pressing buttons

"Are you okay?" Redi said, knowing trollface wasn't acting like himself

"Of course I am, I'm just taking things seriously for once"

Silence filled the room

But it was broken by a cheerful collector coming through the door

"I'm back!"

He towered over both of them, seven feet tall just like before

"Now, have you learned anything about inkmatas?"

Collector could tell what their answer was just from the look on their faces

"... Ok I guess I'll do it."

Hours passed, they managed to heal the bites taken out of inkmatas' arms, seemingly self inflicted since there were a lack of bites on her torso, implying she couldn't reach there

Holy items seemed to be effective but they could only do so much. They were running out of time, they didn't know when she would wake up, or if the restraints could hold her in place

"I'm gonna call someone." Collector said

"Who you gonna call?"

Everyone just stared at trollface

"Not time for Ghostbusters, got it."

"Someone who... Doesn't like you. At all"

All of trollface's urge to joke left his face

"No. NO! NOT HER! IS SHE EVEN ALIVE?"

"We'll see. *Phone ringing* anybody there?... Yep, it's me... Well I did die but I'm back... Well I know you're an expert on unholy stuff so maybe you can help... Well where we are is not a place you can get to so I'll have to teleport you myself... Bye *call ended*"

*sound of a portal outside and an orange figure out the window*

Trollface looked afraid, he hid in a closet because she would NOT be happy to see him

Peyton walked in and examined inkmatas

"What the- WHAT DID YOU DO?"

"Well it wasn't me, inkmatas always warned me about overusing inkstone, just in case I ever learn to use it. I think this is why"

She looked at the corpse concerned

"Well, clearly this is some sort of demonic force, do either of you know how to do an exorcism?"

Redi immediately raised his hand

"My staff can do pretty much anything so maybe it can do that"

Peyton looked at redi's staff with curiosity

"Ok... I don't know how you control it but just think of pulling a demon out of her chest, that's basically an exorcism"

Redi pointed the staff and focused, he concentrated only on inkmatas, the lights began to flicker, the room began to shake

Suddenly an ominous red light began to emit from inkmatas

Collector went outside for a moment to get a holy weapon

He went back in and it was surprisingly calm

Peyton was holding a demon as if it were a pet, it growled at the sight of him

"That was quick." Collector said slightly disappointed "I'll put the sword back"

An hour passed, Peyton decided to stay with the group because she thought beldum would find her if she left, trollface decided to put inkmatas on another table so they could bring back switch hood, if that was even possible

"Well that's actually a lot easier than you'd think. But the equipment in here won't do any good, I'll go get what we need."

Collector stepped out of the room for a moment, and returned with a small gold totem and three infinity stones, time, soul, and mind

"THESE will bring her back. We need floor space though"

Another correction, trollface did not put inkmatas on another table, redi did. At the time I forgot trollface was meant to be hiding in a closet

Collector placed the stones in a triangle around switch hood in the center of the room and placed the totem on her chest. Or what was left of it anyway

Collector touched each of the stones, each one he touched began to glow brighter and energy swirled around switch hood

Collector backed up quickly, although infinity stones are relatively weak compared to some of the other things he has, they are still very powerful

"Everyone stay out of the circle."

The closet creaked open, although trollface didn't want to be seen he still wanted to see what was happening

Suddenly the totem exploded, sounding like a small firework as all of the stones stopped glowing

She looked just as she did the day it all started, suddenly inkmatas woke up because of all the noise, she was extremely confused

Suddenly that confusion turned to anger when she caught a glimpse of trollface in the closet

Peyton didn't know what she was looking at, she opened the closet and became just as angry if not more

"YOU!"

Trollface ran out of the closet as fast as he could, collector didn't know why he was running but could easily get an idea

"GIVE BACK WHAT YOU STOLE YOU COWARD!!!"

Not just an idea, he now knew exactly what he did.

"Well, that gets us one step closer to fixing all of this"

Correction on this part. They weren't BOTH holding corpses. Only redi. Inkmatas isn't dead

And yes, I acknowledge he was closer to inkmatas, but trollface has changed in this timeline so he insisted that he carry inkmatas

He wants to make up for some of the things he's done to her

i wouldnt say mortal enemies, just aquantances
