Idk, I just like those kind of games tbh | If I'm gonna make a game, I'm not gonna have it make you do quests and shit- I want it to be fully open world. I usually play games and just enjoy scenery for a long time and I want to make the game look as nostalgic as possible. That's the kind of game I wanna make. A game where you have a story and all, but it's open-world and you can sit back enjoy the scenery and music that somewhat brings nostalgia, so you trap yourself in that nostalgic moment for as long as you want to be. Make sure to add plenty of action. Maybe some enemy camp's.
And if your gonna make it open world add some environmental factors the player has to take into account
