no second set of ears- that's just the flesh part, I can make it thinner if you want. Was there supposed to be a second set of ears? I may've forgotten because before I started I took down a bunch of notes about what I was supposed to do and I might've missed that.

Also, I'll start sketching out the wings and tails soon. I might need to make it separated if it's too unclear, but hopefully not.

here's a rough sketch of the wings, I hope it looks right? I'm pretty sure the size is fine but I wasn't sure how I would do webbed but fluffy wings, so I did webbed wings with tufts of fur on the point

also added double ears

Ooh, looks awesome! You don't necessarily need to have the fur tufts on the wings, as long as it's clear they've got a layer of fur.

1. are you happy with the current design? I'd like to make sure now because once I add the last touches it'll be inconvenient to change it more

2. what's the character's name, pronouns (optional) and species? just need it for the little character card on the bottom. If any of that info is undecided I can leave it blank for you to edit it later on

3. any particular notes you'd like me to add on the ref? I'll already be adding sections on how the wings fold, where the wings/tails attach and how the markings can fade out

4. do you think anythings missing? If there's anything important you think I've left out/you'd like me to add please tell me now - after I finalize the layout I probably wont be able to add anything without redoing certain parts of the ref (I plan to put a small blob to point out the blue blood - I just forgot to add it in this draft)

1: It looks great! Again, there's TONS of creative freedom with them, because their fur and scales can change color and they have retractable fur. Overall, the design is pretty cool, and I hadn't even though about having different retracted and unretracted sections like you have on them.

2: Spark! They're a kitsune dragon, primarily. They use any pronouns.

3: Not sure. They have a few abilities and the like, but nothing that would change cosmetics

4: I think that's pretty much it! If you have any ideas on what might be good to add, I'd be happy to give input, but this looks absolutely fantastic! Thanks a ton!

Alright, soooo... they were originally a sort of kitsune-dragon hybrid, but they have a couple other features in there.
They're typically fluffy, but they can also retract their fur to reveal scales underneath. They're kinda short, at 5'5" without their wings, but their wings are... kinda big, which is why they typically have them folded like a cape behind them. They have a pair of horns, which you can take any reasonable liberties on, and they have big quadruple ears reminiscent of an Avali. They have 8 tails

For their wings and tail, they're kinda... big, again, so no need to have the whole thing in the frame, and, honestly, it would probably be better if those were in the cape position so they're not all up everywhere, but that's up to you. Specifications on those in this next paragraph
They have 4 wings, with a 15-meter (50-ft) wingspan on the top set, which is attached to their back below the shoulderblade, and a 10-meter (~30-ft) wingspan on the lower set, between the other set of wings and where their tails are. The wings' claws are decently sized. Their tails are also kinda big, being 5 meters (~15ft) long each.

I've attached the color ref, but it needs a bit of explanation.
The pads/beans and miscellaneous scutey scales like the belly are the secondary
Then the fur sooooometimes has red patterns on it too depending on their preference at the time, as they can change or remove the pattern on command.
Pupils on the color ref should say irises. The pupils are actually either black or very dark lavender purple. The sclera can also be lavender if it floats your boat, but otherwise they're pretty normal.

Again, if any of this is too much or doesn't give you enough creative freedom, feel free to take creative license on it. It's your time and your art, after all.

this seems pretty complicated, so I think I'll do it sometime over the weekend when I have a lot of time to mess around with the design. I wanna try and be as accurate to your vision as possible, so it might take a while. I do have a few questions if ya don't mind

1. what are the markings? splotches, stripes, spots etc.?

2. what type of wings do they have? are the wings feathered (like a dutch angel dragon) or are they webbed (like a typical dragon)? or is it something else?

3. would you be annoyed if I didn't get the scaling real close to perfect? I'm kinda bad at judging sizes and such but I promise I'll do my best either way

4. are the wings fully compressed when in the cape position? or do they sort of show on the outside a bit?

5. where are the wings positioned? the default spot is on the back below the neck, but some characters put them on the head, hips, tail etc. If you don't know where you want them specifically I can figure it out myself when I'm designing it of course.

Oh, it's perfectly fine if you take a while; I'd rather you take your time and not get burnt out or rush it. Again, this is your time and your art, and something you're doing just because you want to. And I absolutely encourage questions and will answer any to the best of my ability.

1: The markings are variable, but typically they have almost tigeresque stripies or straight lines, or very simple repeating patterns, like I've sent above.

2: They have webbed wings, but they're fluffy.

3: Nope! As long as they're thick enough to pass as dragon tails and visibly quite long, and the wings are quite big, it's fine by me. And even if not, that's alright. Again, your time, your art.

4: They tend to show on the outside a bit, and they typically drag a lot, but it's up to you!

5: One set is by their shoulderblades, where you would usually see a set of wings, but they have a second set a little ways above the tail
