In Jewish tradition Eve was not Adam's 1st wife. When man was made from earth, so was woman - her name was Lilith. She was Adam's equal, which was a problem for a male chauvinist God. When she refused to be the man's servant, God turned her into a demon & drove her out
of Eden. She became Satan's bride instead. God then made a woman out of Adam's side (not rib) so she would be subservient to him. But being only half a person means she wasn't too bright; even a snake could trick her.
