SURE, I WAS THERE DURING THE DESTRUCTION OF SODOM AND GOMORRAH. THERE WAS A LOT THERE I WANTED TO SEE. AND YOU CAN TAKE IT ALL WITH A GRAIN OF SALT, BUT WHEN I ARRIVED, SODOM WAS ALREADY SLOUCHING TOWARDS GOMORRAH, AND THE PEOPLE WERE FLEEING FOR THEIR LIVES. I DID RUN INTO ONE NICE FAMILY, LITERALLY, KNOCKING OFF A BASKET FROM BEHIND THE WOMAN'S SHOULDERS. I TOLD HER TO LOOK BACK, WHICH SHE DID. IT WAS TO BE HER MONUMENTAL MISFORTUNE. AFTERWARDS, AND THINKING PERHAPS THIS MIGHT MAKE A GOOD STORY SOMEONE MAY WANT TO PUT IN A BOOK, I WENT AND INTERVIEWED MANY PEOPLE ABOUT IT. I WAS TOLD THE WOMAN HAD BEEN THE SALT OF THE EARTH, BEFORE SHE BECAME THE SALT OF THE EARTH; AND, ALTHOUGH NOT EXACTLY A WOMAN EVERYONE LOOKED UP TO AT THE TIME, SHE HAD INSTANTLY BECAME A REAL PILLAR OF THE COMMUNITY. TO SAY SHE WAS MISSED WOULD BE AN UNDERSTATEMENT. HER MEMORY WOULD LIVE ON IN MANY, AND DEFINITELY IN A LOT.
