Ooh! This comic-esque sketch immediately draws you in to the point of being unable to look away. One tell-tale sign of an expert artist, especially in the children's field, is creating something all can enjoy, and this would do just that. It would appeal to young girls because of its utterly badass heroine and her confidence and style, yet the colour scheme and skateboarding aspect would have no problem drawing a fair share of boys as well. Had this character been prominent in my youth, I'd be her largest fan. The wheels on the bottom of the board, her confident grin, her awesome makeup, and just everything from her elbow pads, her crop top, her fingerless gloves (which, as any astute fan might notice, mirror a certain badass pair belonging to the artist, as a sweet personal touch), and the effects of the background, which I could easily imagine rotating around her as she pulls off a jump on her board, all come together to make one sweet, badass cartoon piece that I'm sure anyone could be wowed by.
