Well, remember the part where the collector rips the giant beast flower out of zanthor?
I recently had the idea that because the main part of the flower is gone the rest of zanthors body begins to decay
Now, because the only real injury he had was the flower being removed he's just a talking head on the ground
The collector does give him a new body after the battle but not powerful enough to become a universe destroying space god
