people just dont understand markets and shit deadass republicans whine and complain on gas prices being too high but the people they so love and praise literally rejected bills that prevented gas companies from price gouging on these materials the COMPANIES are making the prices high for an extra buck bc the republicans enabled them to do so not the democrats nor the president

and who was in office when the pandemic was allowed to blossom and cause all the economic damage? Republicans. and who helped that happen by disregarding masking and vaccines? Republicans. now they try to increase their shame by shifting blame, and that's their standard MO.

People who are vaccinated are still getting covid

very true. but fewer people who are vaccinated show symptoms (because their viral load is lower), they transmit the virus to others less effectively (for the same reason), and fewer of them are hospitalized (than non-vaccinated people). vaccines rarely grant 100% immunity, so if you need a guarantee, i have to disappoint you. but if you can see that vaccination (and masking) reduce the transmission and effects of the virus on the population as a whole, then i will have to respect your ability to learn and to value the health and lives of others.

Domestic oil production would keep the US from being dependent on foreign oil, but...

you have to admit it's pretty impressive that gas prices are dropping even though Biden reinstated the environmental protections that Trump discarded, don't you?

No. You did see the right side of the graph where Biden is backing off some of his mistakes and production is rising again...

i like your flair for creative interpretation. if you can wed it to a passion for hard facts, then you will really have something.

domestic everything would reduce foreign dependence on everything, but that's not how the world works, eh?

Absolutely correct. And there are risks to globalization if one country starts doing enough of something and then decides to be a jerk and use that capability for leverage against their trading partners.

Biden claimed rising gas prices weren't his fault, but took the credit when they went down.
