There's 6 games, over 100 characters to collect, 3DS games, and much more

First Game(Spyro's Adventure): Core Skylanders
Second Game(Giants): Adds Giants into the mix
Third Game(Swap-Force): Adds SWAPABLE CHARACTERS and Minigames for those Swapable Characters!
Forth Game(Trap-Team): TRAP VILLAIN AND PLAY AS VILLAIN

And Sixth Game(Imaginators): Create your own characters!

There are Special Addition Characters that look different in game. There are also "Chaser'' Varients that look the same in game but look different in figure form.

How to use the game?
Well, you collect the Skylander Figures, put them on the Portal Of Power, and watch them come to life!
Upgrade them to make them stronger. Each character has 2 upgrade paths.

The 3DS Games are MUCH different from the other varients
The portal is much smaller, and is annoying to use, but you'll get the hand of it.

Skylanders Imaginators says that making a Character of that Battle Class is the final descision.

If you have a 3DS version of any of the Skylander Games, you can RESET CREATION CRYSTALS for a new battle class if you didn't like the one they previously had

Fun Fact: Some old songs get a remake in Imaginators, like Dark Water Cove from the first game, it comes back in "Peg Leg Landing" which is a sub area for the 2nd last chapter which is "Abandoned Amusement Park".
