I definitely agree with Moth.

I ask people about when the want their commission by, and I give them the option to pay more to become top priority. Though also, I don't tell people the order of my commission queue. Someone else might come along and buy something ridiculously detailed, so I'll put them before someone who has a simple order.

If people pay, I change that. If not, that is NONE of their business.

some commissions are easier than others, and some commissions are more urgent. Some artists also offer the ability to pay more for more priority. Plus, some commissions can be done quickly (like yours) but others take lots of more time. This way the artist can get both arts on time by just doing the long one first, and quickly finishing yours afterward.
