Description
The Templar is a high health enemy which appears in Fallen and Hardcore mode. It wields a minigun which is used to fire at towers randomly, which stuns them for a short period of time. It has defense, meaning that most forms of damage against the Templar is decreased. It has also 2,000 shield health.
The Templar is replaced by the Warden in Polluted Wasteland II.
Appearance
The Templar appears to be a futuristic warrior, with shiny metal armor and a laser minigun which glows neon red. It wears black and light grey armor and has green skin. It also wears black gloves. It wears a helmet with horns, with its eyes covered with a red strobe of light. It is slightly larger than the average zombie.
Strategy
High DPS towers, such as the Minigunner, Ranger, Engineer or Accelerator are recommended against this.
The Engineer can be very useful against Templar as it does not deal any damage to units, allowing the Engineer's sentries to deal high amounts of damage to it even when the Engineer is stunned.
Do note that this can make the sentries vulnerable to stuns from other sources, such as the Unknown or Fallen King.
Due to the Templar's high defense, the Ranger is highly recommended against it due to its high damage and long range, and its stun immunity.
The Commander is recommended in boosting the firerate of the Ranger.
When the Templar first spawns, it will not be able to use its Minigun ability for a short period of time.
Use this time to defeat the Templar before it is able to stun towers.
You may want to set your towers to target Strongest so that they can take down the Templar faster.
