Even then, if you live in a place like Denver, you're screwed. They're all about saying "f**k the free market" and letting the best form win, they're all about putting their thumb on the scale to assist the outcome that they want.

First new homes couldn't be built with a wood burning fireplace. Then, homes couldn't be built that had natural gas appliances. Now, they're controlling your thermostat remotely. All to control what choices you have to heat your home and control your life.

Furthermore, if they can crank the thermostats up to 80 or more remotely in the summer then who's to say they won't take them down to 60 or less?
