And to add on this, this same scenario happened with this book series I’ve heard about so much. It has dragons and all that stuff, and people are saying it’s a furry series? Like, bruh? First of all, most dragons are not anthropomorphic, and second of all, they don’t have fur like how an actual furry has. Third of all, they are only attracted to their own kind, unlike furries. Ik this is 100% unrelated but I’m providing the same argument for this

Congratulations. That was literally my f**king argument about Wings of Fire as well. Even if you wanted to get technical and call them scalies, it still doesn’t make any sense whatsoever. I don’t give a shit if you make the argument that they have human like characteristics (emotions). That is the only characteristic they have that is similar. Some people just get the wrong idea I guess. The only thing I can understand about the Star Fox thing is some people consider it furry bait despite the shitty graphics. They make the same argument about Lucario from Pokémon (hence why in SSBU, people think people who main Lucario are furries).

the by-book defenition of a furry is any animal that is or is close to anthroplomorphia, (animals having humane traits such as speech or stance, (in which case starfox includes both of those) any humane traits that an animal posseses basically makes it a furry
