To put this prospectively, schools do no teach people to survive. Schools babysit, entertain, teach, and show restraint/civility. Schools had no effective way out on adult children money without underpaying staff.

It also falls on the student and what the student is trying to take away from college.
Prospective students never conduct research on what trade or field of study that they want or what it pays post graduation I think that if they did there'd be a difference.
They never look to find out what the worker Demand by the industries is to see if there's even a place for them to go upon graduation.
What kills me the most as a former student watching the other students most of them would f**k around they would never really be active in the way that they should be with the study groups and many of them that I knew would use their financial aid to buy drugs or iPods or iPads..
The most that I ever squandered my Pell Grant was to buy a 1981 Toyota Celica GT with 80,000 miles on it for 1,200 one other time I squandered my financial aid when I was a drug addict and that blew my money on pot and amphetamines during my freshman years.
You have other people that blow their money on clothes and jewelry and shit like that and then they complain about where their dorm money is going to come from when they don't even have work study and they're not even on file with student employment services.
