Sure. That's a picture of Anne Frank. A Jewish kid today, through their family culture, is going to learn about the Holocaust.
So, banning the diary from public schools isn't going to "protect" that Jewish kid.
Same for how Black Americans have been treated in US History, starting with slavery and up through to today. That kid is still going to learn about that history from their family.
So, you're not protecting them.
Racism and antisemitism are still very real today. So, those current kids have to deal with that experience.
The only kid who is "protected" is the kid who will never experience any of that- the white kid.
