Yeah, I feel that right now there's not as much of a drawn out path in life. I feel a lot of people, especially us young people, aren't playing a linear game anymore, with defined goals. We're playing an open world game and we skipped over the cut scene and nobody gave us an instruction manual.
There's a benefit to having freedom and all that, but sometimes a few guidelines wouldn't hurt.
