From what I could make out of your message, religion is mere entertainment and is meant to pray to fictionnal beings (at most, a random dude who was overrated).
Religion is what slowed down science. The only "entertainment" out of religion is laughing at those gullible enough to adhere to it and REALLY believe in it.
Religion also devalues the truth and the facts (science), such as how the Earth was created: not by a God in X days, but by pure luck of the universe.
Religion isn't overrated because it ISN'T rated. Religion, back in the day, was meant to give meaning and understanding to what We didn't understand, because the "science" was primal. In the present day, we can predict the movements of giant pieces of rock (and gas) (planets), split the tiniest piece of matter in two (atoms) and understand how and where we all came from. Religion is MOST outdated by today's standard, and only serve as a form of "hope" to those who fear or do not believe in science.
