Just so it's clear, for the sake of accuracy, he is a victim... of his own corruptness and stupidity. No-one forced him to steal 700+ pages of classified documents. No-one forced him to lie through his lawyers that there were no more documents at Mar-a-Lago after surrendering the illegally possessed batch of 15 boxes for repatriation to NARA. No-one forced him to spend months fighting removal of the remaining boxes of illegally possessed TOP SECRET/SCI/SAPM documents. And only after exhaustive negotiations, constant stonewalling was the decision made that there was no more time to delay, that a search warrant was in order, seizure obligatory. Quite frankly, the DOJ afforded him an unwarranted amount of special treatment over a criminal offense(s) which would land you or I in prison with an alarming swiftness. Unfortunately, after decades of victimhood-indoctrination by right-wing pundits, the cult can't see that. All they can see is Dear Leader being "persecuted" because that's the lie they've been fed and, like the bestest little sheep, they'll never question the narrative.
