That's what I've been trying to say for a while! Furries and anti-furries primarily want the same things and target the same things.
For example:
Anti-furries generally hate furries because they see them as zoophiles
Furries actually generally *also* hate zoophiles. Not only do they give furries a bad reputation, but they also oftentimes traumatize the animals. Furries, as it turns out, very much like nature, and they care about animal wellbeing, which is why furries alone have raised hundreds of thousands if not millions of dollars to donate to charities and assist in natural disaster recovery
Anti-furries find the fandom weird and cringy, seeing it as very strange.
Furries will be some of the first to admit that the fandom is a little wacky, and that there are a few parts of it that aren't great.
"If you want to be an animal so much, why can't we hunt you like them?" Is something that comes up quite frequently.
A surprising number of furries are actually either military or ex-military, so a few do actually hunt (humanely, of course.)
Anti-furries often bash the fandom for trying to look kid-friendly on the surface, but having some very weird things beneath that surface.
Furries DO have some weird things going on in the fandom, but that's much less a part of being a furry than people think, and they try their best to make sure that whatever audience happens upon them isn't affected by it. The vast majority of furries are usually very wholesome and nice people, if you get to know them.
Soooooo yeah! Furries and anti-furs actually agree on a lot of things, and I'm glad some furries and anti-furries can appreciate that.
Hope this provides a little insight!
