You want examples, fine! I'll give you examples!
During the late 1800's to the late 1900's, Canada created what were called Residential Schools. These schools were run by priests and other church members in an attempt to destroy the cultures of Native Americans by forcing their children to assimilate into western cultures. Mass neglect and sexual assault occurred frequently at these schools.
While not officially affiliated with any one denomination, the terrorist group called the KKK states that they are under a Christian identity. While I think I don't have to state this, the KKK has done various crimes towards African Americans, Homosexuals, Atheists, Muslims, immigrants, Latinos, Jews, Native Americans and more.
Many churches historically and to a much lesser extent in the present forbid Homosexual acts and view it as a sin.
The Nazi Party followed a variation of Christianity they called "Positive Christianity" which denied the Semitic origins of Christianity in an attempt to further anti-Semitic teachings.
However, these examples both modern and historically are not true for most Christians. Many Christians are perfectly normal people who are respectable and not detestable.
However, I have a feeling you are going to disregard these examples completely.
