Not exactly. I want a system that is more stable and better performing than democracy, but more liberal (as opposed to illiberal rather than conservative) than a dictatorship.

The problem with ryan's original meme is that he's confusing the so-called "popular vote" with the "electoral college".

The difference is that the popular vote, plus $5, will get you a small coffee, plain, at Starbucks. It's worthless to even discuss.

The electoral college, which is what you need to win to become president, works well when it's not f**ked with. The problem in 2020 was that once you figure out which states were solid red or solid blue, then you knew which states are swing states, and that's where you can concentrate your cheating schemes.

Also wrong with his premise is that there is no national office or means of passing a law that involves a "democratic vote". It's all representatives and, as mentioned, the electoral college.
