Seems to me that Dr. Who has always been about challenging orthodoxies, bending conventions, and moving forward — if you can’t envision a person other than a straight white man in the role then I believe you’ve missed a big part of the show’s underlying message.

For these reasons, the casting of an LGBTQ doctor is likely inevitable. Get ready!
