That's a secondary 'anti-theft' distraction ?

The primary distraction to an American is the steering wheel on the other side, so it would keep us Yanks from heisting it, lol
I can drive a stick shift, but many cannot, so that’s a good deterrent as well.
I really like the cover they put over the pedals though! Really nice touch :-)

I have driven huge gas guzzling American cars in the distant past - They don't really fit on the narrow roads in the UK and the steering wheel is on the wrong side and they seem to be missing a pedal ! ;~)
