People accept more government because they think they can use government for their purposes.
They never stop to think that if they hold zero seats in their nation's capital, have zero lobbyists working for them, and donated zero (rounded to the nearest million dollars) to the latest election campaign, then ZERO is the amount of control they hold over government.
