The dramatic step of raiding a former President’s home leads me to suspect it’s likely not anything that falls below the level of “crime against the Republic.” That would rule out the more run-of-the-mill claims like defamation, fraud, even rape.
I bet this is Jan. 6-related. I confess I wasn’t cynical enough to predict that exact sequence of events, but that falls under the light-blue placeholder category of my chart, which I added in recognition of the idea that the full panoply of Trump’s abuses is not yet known and may never be known.
That’s not to say “All of the Above” isn’t still on the table! I’d like to think they’re investigating it all!
