Unfortunately, I think you might well be overestimating the abilities of the American justice system as far as people like him are concerned. But we'll see.

The only chance for Trump not winning 2024 is 3rd party, perhaps a GOP splinter, providing that had enough star power which is doubtful,,,

Unfortunately, I struggle to have much hope in a conviction for Giuliani either. It would be nice if I were wrong but the fact that it's even taking this long when we've known what a shady shit he's been for decades - I'm not at all clear on what it will actually take.

He did the fake electors thing plus apparently was the one to set the daft jakey Drumpty on this course, or so the (simple vers of the) story goes, and the rampaging villagers won't be happy till they can burn some token monster on the stake, so looks like this might be his gig to star in.

However, he's not of the age were he's got 5 years or so to give away and come out richer for it, so if he went down, he might start blabbing, so maybe he won't do them well as fallguy.

Granted, he's got that history, but he's pretty toxic now, so might not find himself protected as before.

When it comes to congress or the justice department proving anything in a court of law, I would bet against it.

I agree Trump won't run as a Republican and as a his own party trying to separate himself from the GOP while still accepting them as a better choice. Just more BS to add to the 2024 fires.

Oh, I DARE him to try to actively split the Republican party.
