I'd assume simple brainwashing during her tender younger years and that she had come to her senses by the time we met and got married. But still would raise a host of burning questions in my head.

You are correct about that. But I have an unconscious habit of judging photos of women as sexually attractive or not sexually attractive. The first time I saw photos of my wife (who I find attractive) as a teenager (I do not find children attractive) it was a weird juxtaposition and I had uncomfortable conflicting emotions about it for a couple of seconds before I got over it. Like if you were a kid and you saw your teacher at the grocery store for the first time and realized your teacher has a life outside of school.

I wonder if I have a compulsion to judge women in this way because it is part of being a male human or if society has taught me the behavior. I don’t think I’m the only guy that does it.
