It's frustrating to be told "just keep voting," but it's true. Just keep voting. Democracy is a long game, and we will win.

It's frustrating to be told "just keep voting," but it's true. Just keep voting. Democracy is a long game, and we will win. | It is, of course, incredibly frustrating that Republicans - who didn't even win the 2020 election, in fact lost it by a decisive margin - nonetheless, through countermajoritarian chicanery, in 2022 succeeded in reversing a 50-year-old constitutional right by judicial fiat. In the face of this, it is easy for liberals to despair and conclude that if Republicans can pull that off, then voting doesn't really matter. That, of course, is exactly what Republicans want you to think. To a despairing liberal, I would say: Turn that logic on its head. If Republicans managed to reverse Roe v. Wade without winning the last election, then it follows that the reversal of Roe v. Wade doesn't actually carry public support. And that is what polling bears out. The United States is consistently at least 60% pro-abortion rights, and at most 40% anti-abortion rights - with very little change in those percentages over the past 40 years. By slashing away at such a popular right, Republicans have made it that much harder on themselves to win national elections in the future. So, don't despair. Keep registering your voice. Keep voting. We will win back the right to reproductive freedom, and we will make Republicans pay for it. | image tagged in pro-choice protest, abortion polling gallup,abortion,pro-choice,elections,democracy | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

True. Keep protesting, volunteering, advocating, raising awareness. Democracy doesn’t begin and end on Election Day.
