Dot Dot Dot? The R word ?
In "Politics" ? You'd probably get the hook for this, because they would KNOW what you're thinking, and that is now a criminal offense.
Lotta clairvoyance goin on over there lately.
Recently found out that Richard Pryor was one of the writers of "Blazing Saddles". While it's not my favorite Mel Brooks creation (I'm partial to "High Anxiety" (Nurse Diesel) and "Young Frankenstein" (sedagive!)), it mocked racism like nothing before it and little since (with the possible exception of Archie Bunker although he was slightly more nuanced). What's frustrating is that something that is so anti racist would be canceled in today's reality (former username of one of my favorite users)
They sure have "flipped the script". I don't even recognize this world anymore. So much of the good stuff is gone. Tried to watch Late Night Comedy lately? Doesn't exist.
I know what you're saying. My prescription is a healthy dose of "The Grail" and realize that it isn't gone as long as one person remembers it! By the way, Gutfeld is kicking late night ass, you might want to check him out!
The irony of Archie Bunker was that he was a hinted at being a republican conservative. Instead of being insulted, conservatives and republicans found him hilarious. Also writers kind of confused 'Grumpy Old Man' with 'Racist Man'.
