This would make a really cool series when you think about it

This might take a while so don't get mad if the explanation is incomplete

A group of researchers, MTF, and d class have been trapped in facility [REDACTED] for months and have finally managed to get SCP 2406 operational

The original power source was not found but they could replace it with a solar panel on its back (clean energy yaaaaay) and strangely solar energy creates a lot more power than before given the recent events

Also they managed to simplify the controls from hundreds of switches and valves to having two pilots control the upper and lower halves of the body with control panels

They also managed to find the missing arm during a test of the newly operational SCP

They could finally leave the facility and see what happened to the world

Because of the original power source being gone the chest area had a large empty space that could be used as a living area

They eventually found an abandoned town and decided to investigate

And what they found... Was horrifying.

The MTF agents exploring the ground were immediately ambushed by giant fleshy blobs

The pilots of 2406 managed to hit the large masses before they could get to the MTF agents

From the hands they could get samples of these strange fleshy masses for analysis

They managed to find some food and then left the abandoned town

They eventually renamed the SCP "Talos" because of it's resemblance to the mythological robot

(Greek mythology to be more specific)

Over time they had taken down hundreds of massive blobs of flesh

They had even begun containing some of the less dangerous SCP's in Talos

But eventually they would face a threat like nothing they had seen before

They were searching a new area looking for survivors to bring to site 19 but instead found what happened to them...

Somehow, they saw the statue of liberty in the distance... Ooze coming out of it. The blobs had consumed it...

There was also a horrible realization upon site of it: they can use tools and make armor

They never expected something like this
One of the most iconic symbols of America was now their greatest foe

It was using the tablet as a shield and the torch as a weapon... This would truly be a battle for the ages

Immediately the creature noticed Talos and charged, attempting to hit it with all it's might

They saw the attack coming and dodged, it barely missed

The creature fell to the ground, letting out a loud painful screech

It began chanting horrible things in it's unsettling voice "join us... We have ascended to a higher form... The sun has gifted us... Let us bring that gift to you..."

The pilots refused to listen to the voices and shot at it with Greek fire, a liquid solution that burns on contact and is shot from the right arm

Fire is usually effective against these creatures but the copper exoskeleton given by the statue protected it

They couldn't use the weapon on the left arm because it was untested

The researchers observing the battle were questioning everything they knew about these creatures but the most important question was... HOW THE HECK DID THEY GET THE STATUE OF LIBERTY ALL THE WAY HERE FROM NEW YORK!?

The battle continues
The collosal statue attacking randomly with it's torch and blocking with it's tablet

Eventually the armor broke and they could get a clean shot that it's gooey insides but...

They had run out of

Greek fire solution
(I pressed the button early)

They requested permission to use the left arm but right as they did the creature hit them with it's torch, knocking them to the ground

The battle was looking grim
The SCP's contained in Talos had breached containment

In a desperate attempt to save the remaining survivors they fired the left arm, not knowing what it would do

A black mass shot out

It floated towards the statue

As soon as it touched the entire mass was sucked in

Ripped from the statue
The object disappeared

The researchers were left in awe at the power wielded by the pilots of Talos

It was almost as if it were designed for those exact creatures
