They actually do something.They put downvoted comments or posts under all the others so you’ll see them last. That isn’t the case if you sort it by categories other than hot

yes it did, it gave the person who downvoted a meme 1 point, the same like upvote does, in the other hand, downvoting a comment will make it a low rated comment, and downvoting a meme will make that meme less popular
