It went like this:
Him: can i shoot the orc
The DM: yeah
Me: I'm standing right next to it though..
The DM: what are the rules for that? (I'm the rules nerd with like 12 books)
Me: it's fine, just if you roll a nat 1 you might hit me.
Him: okay i will shoot it... it's... +4, okay.
Him: *rolls D20*
Him: *gets a nat 1*
Me: What. The. Heck. (I was on 2 hp)
