I never upgrade to netherite in my world for multiple reasons
1. I personnaly dont like the design of netherite as much as diamond
2. With diamond armour i still have a chance to die which makes the game interesting, unlike netherite (also why i use sheild instead of totem of undying)
3. Just kinda saves some time to focus on other projects
