Repressed people fall back on their faith as a reason for acting out against LGBTQ. But homophobia is hypocrisy because the Bible says judge not, lest ye be judged. Anti-gay is Puritanical and comes from a place where people are offended by the sexuality because it arouses in them feelings they aren't evolved enough to comprehend or accept.
Instead of looking inward and dealing with THAT, they want to kill the object of their arousal. Just like back when imperialist missionaries forced the natives to wear clothes head to toe and banned their dances calling them satanic when really they just couldn't handle the freedom. Magats claim to be about freedoms when all they really want to do is take them away.
