Meta era story, dialogue, and characters suck ass

No, the writers for 06 were completely different.
The writers for the Meta era were Pontac and Graff (Can't remember their first name haha).
The writers for 06, and probably all the Adventure era games plus Unleashed and maybe Colors DS were Kiyoko Yoshimura and Shiro Maekawa.
Also, Pontac and Graffs only knowledge of the characters was-brace yourself...
A few cutscenes and the characters motherf**king Wikipedia pages, which at the time was a terrible source of knowledge.

No, it wasn't one guy. The source you are using is probably inaccurate, use other sources that are actually reliable.
The person writing Sonic Frontiers is going to be Ian Flynn. He is the same person who writes the IDW Sonic comics.
Also, do me a favor and use accurate and reliable Sonic news sources, like Premydaremy, Chaomix, Unleashed, and Matsinthescouts. They are amazing news and analysis sources, and I get most of my info from them and the Sonic The Hedgehog social media accounts.
